CIAO ITALIA: Bangkok Becomes a Meeting Point for Italian Businesses and Asian Markets
Bangkok, 6 November 2026 – The Thai-Italian Chamber of Commerce (TICC) announces the launch of CIAO ITALIA, an international B2B business matching event taking place on 3– 4 February 2027 at CentralwOrld PULSE in Bangkok. The event aims to connect Italian companies with potential business partners interested in introducing, distributing and developing Italian products in Thailand and other Asian markets.
The initiative forms part of Go Asia Bangkok, an international trade development project designed to support Italian companies in their internationalisation efforts and facilitate their access to Asian markets. Through local partner sourcing, business relationship development and direct meetings with industry professionals, the project provides companies with practical opportunities to explore new markets and establish commercial partnerships.
Asia: A Strategic Destination for Made in Italy
Against a backdrop of increasing diversification in international markets, Asia is becoming an increasingly strategic destination for European and Italian businesses.
Economic growth across several countries in the region, evolving consumer preferences, the expansion of modern retail and growing openness to international products are creating new opportunities for companies seeking to expand their commercial presence beyond European borders.
Within this landscape, Thailand plays a particularly important role thanks to its strategic geographical position, wellestablished commercial infrastructure and function as a gateway to the wider Southeast Asian market.
"Italian companies today have an increasingly tangible and strategic opportunity to look towards Asia. The region represents a market of considerable potential, with consumers becoming ever more discerning about quality, design, innovation and product identity. Through CIAO ITALIA, we aim to create a concrete platform for bringing Italian expertise and excellence together with Asian business operators, further strengthening Thailand's role as a key hub for the development of economic relations between Italy and Asia," says Federico Cardini, President of the Thai-Italian Chamber of Commerce.
Two Days of B2B Meetings and Business Opportunities
CIAO ITALIA is designed as a professional business event focused on commercial connections. Participating companies will have the opportunity to showcase their products, present their brands and meet potential importers, distributors, retailers, purchasing managers and other industry professionals seeking new sourcing and business collaboration opportunities.
The event will bring together companies from various product categories, with a particular focus on:
• Fashion & Accessories
• Cosmetics, Beauty & Personal Care
• Jewellery & Accessories
• Lifestyle & Consumer Goods
• Other product categories represented by participating companies
The event format will feature dedicated exhibition spaces for individual exhibitors, providing business operators with the opportunity to meet company representatives and explore their product and brand offerings in greater detail.
To facilitate focused and productive business discussions, buyers will be able to request one-to-one meetings with companies of interest. Each meeting will last a maximum of 30 minutes, allowing participants to arrange personalised schedules and meet several potential suppliers throughout the two-day event.
Meetings will be arranged according to buyers' expressed business interests and will be subject to availability and confirmation by the organisers.
