Company Background (for Business Directory): The history of Stefania Calugi's company began in 1987, when Stefania decided to dedicate herself to the sale of fresh truffles, selecting them from a network of trusted hunters. Initially, her main customers were Tuscan restaurateurs and shops, but the business soon expanded. In 1988, she opened in Castelfiorentino a 67-square-meter laboratory to produce truffle-based products like creams, truffle butter and flavored oil as well as vegetables in oil, including the iconic artichokes. By 1992, a larger facility was established to meet increasing demand, and in these years other products were introduced such as truffle slices. The company's innovation continued in the late 90s, while black truffles gained popularity in Tuscany and beyond. Expansion into foreign markets began in 2002. In 2010, Jurij Marchetti joined the management, together with Stefania, driving further product diversification and exports of them. In 2013, the company invested in organic truffle grounds and expanded its offerings, gaining organic and "Made in Italy" certifications. By 2015, the entire range became gluten-free. The company's growth continued, with a doubling of production space in 2016, and the launch of vegan products in 2017. The company remains committed to innovation while honoring Italian tradition.
