Company Background (for Business Directory): The Asian Institute of Gemological Sciences (AIGS) was founded in 1978 as Southeast Asia's first international gemological education facility. AIGS is located in Asia’s largest gems and jewelry marketplace in Thailand known as the Jewelry Trade Center where students get the opportunity to gain insights into the gems and jewelry industry with hands-on experiences. The best way one can learn about gemstones is by closely examining various sample stones and applying their knowledge in to identifying it. Our vast collection of gemstones at AIGS includes numerous unique and rare stones that have been collected over decades to provide our students with the required knowledge, skills, and experience that would prepare them for their future career. Not only do we have an educational institute but we also have our very own laboratory that has been serving the industry for the past 40 years to provide timely and accurate gemstone reports for our clients. We ensure that our gemologists here are trained and up-to-date on the latest identification and analytical methods.
