[PPR] BuonDee EP.3: Italian Gelato Masterclass

Bangkok, 15 March 2024 - The Thai-Italian Chamber of Commerce hosted its third event focusing on the rebranding initiative of last year's Italian Wine Appreciation Club. Today, attendees had the pleasure of experiencing the authentic flavors of Italian gelato during "BuonDee EP.3: Italian Gelato Masterclass.”

In partnership with Iceteam1927/ Cattabriga, this episode of BuonDee promised an exploration into the realm of Italian gelato. Starting with Mr. Emanuele Franchi, Resident Manager at Iceteam 1927 aligned with Chef Gianmichele Olivares, proprietor of Da Lena Trattoria Italiana, Da Lena Pizzeria Napoletana, and Da Lena Gelateria Italiana, and Chef Matteo Zini, owner of Zini • Contemporary Gelateria, guided participants through a special masterclass.

Attendees had the opportunity to learn the nuances between gelato and ice cream while indulging in gelato with unique flavors, creating an unforgettable experience.

Crafting a menu journey, beginning with the coffee-infused gelato, our menu followed up with Pistachio Gelato, kindly given to us by Fabri 1905, serving as an interlude. Continuing our adventure, we presented Olive Oil gelato paired with bread and thinly sliced ham, an exquisite fusion of savory and sweet. Concluding with Prosecco Wine gelato, a sophisticated finale marrying the prosecco with the creaminess of gelato.

We extended our sincere gratitude to Iceteam 1927 / Cattabriga for generously providing the machinery necessary to craft authentic Italian gelato, ensuring our event's success. Additionally, we would like to express our appreciation to Segafredo Zanetti Thailand for supplying the coffee beans used in the creation of one of the gelato flavors.
