Honda Gresini Team will have a Thai Racer
Honda has decided to raise the bar for Thailand‘s motor sport cycle and to fully support Thai racers to the international level. Ratthapark “Feem” Wilairot will be the new pilot in the Moto2 WGP with the team “Thai Honda PTT Gresini Racing Moto 2”. The new star of Thai racing world will continue to use the number 14 which also represent his birth date. The first appearance is scheduled on April 8, 2012 in Doha, Qatar, first of 17 legs of the Moto2 Championship.
The Sicilian Catch
After the successful end of the “Sicilian Fish on The Road 2012″ Gala Dinner hosted by TICC on February 2, at the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit Hotel Bangkok. This event was an opportunity to discover the great taste and quality of fish from Sicily Region, Italy in its four course dinner. The dinner featured specialty dishes based on Sicilian “blue fish” and cooking demonstration of the featured dishes cooked by Chef Natale Giunta, winner of the ” Ospitalita’ Italiana” award and frequent performance on Italian television. Sicilian blue fish was flash-frozen in Sicily and shipped to Bangkok just before dinner. “Sicilian Fish on the Road” was organized by TICC on behalf of the Sicily Region, with support of the European Fisheries Fund.
NEW Italy Visa Application Centre
The Embassy of Italy in Thailand is pleased to announce the introduction of its new visa application facility in Bangkok from the 5th of January 2012, VFS Global will operate the Italy Visa Application Centre at the joint Schengen Visa Application at Mercury Towers in Pathumwan, Bangkok.
Charity Gala Dinner | Report
The Bridge of Hope’s Christmas Charity Dinner on the 15th of December 2011 at SwissotelNaiLertPark.
This is a joint initiative of the Thai – Italian Chamber of Commerce and the Italian Embassy to raise funds in support of the Camillian Home of Lat Krabang. This institution is committed to serving orphaned children suffering from HIV/AIDS and other physical or mental disabilities, with the belief that these children are the most vulnerable members of our society.

Floods in Thailand 2011
Central part of Bangkok province has been assigned as the main passage for the maintenance of the northern runoff (50%). Among the alerted/ affected district Sai Mai, Don Muang, Laksi, Bang Khen, Kan Na Yao, Chatuchak, Lad Prao, Wang Thonglang, Huay Kwang and Bang Sue are considered as CENTRAL. The water is currently being drained via two passages.
