2 nd Day Events: STORY AND CULTURE OF ITALIAN ESPRESSO
Date: 30 th May 2007
Time: 9.00 – 12.30 hrs.
Venue: Bangkok Club, Pacific Place Building, Sukhumvit Rd.
- What is the espresso and what it means to the Italian
- When the first espresso machines arrived in Italy
- What we need to produce the espresso
- Espresso parameters
- The taste and richness in the cup (Aroma, Taste, Flavour, aftertaste, Mouth feel, Crema).
- Different blends for different tastes
- Components of the 4 M rule, to maintain the quality in the cup.
DEMONSTRATION OF THE ITALIAN COFFEE MENU
This will consist of a practical explanation and demonstration of the following:
- Macchiato
- Cappuccino (frothing techniques, steaming the milk, normal cappuccino preparation and latte art)
- Caffe latte & Latte macchiato
- espresso con panna
- Espresso shakerato
- Marocchino
